Those who are afflicted with leprosy are generally reviled by society. Outcast. Unloved by even their own families. Yet even if no one else loves them, Jesus does, and they ought to know that. So, many Gfa-supported missionaries in South Asia decided to take advantage of World Leprosy Day, which is January 26th, and spend the entire week showing the love of Jesus to leprosy patients. And for once in their lives, these precious people know that they are loved. What a beautiful outreach.
“Earlier, the lepers were considered as untouchables, but in this generation and time, there is no such discrimination . . .” Gospel for Asia pastor Vagish had said. “Our Creator, the Lord Jesus, loved all the sick people, including lepers.”
I urge you, take a moment. Remember those in need, pray for these precious leprosy patients.
